Modern Entertainment
It is amazing how well "they" have figured out how well to manipulate our emotions... I watch a movie as simple as Transformers, and at various times I feel the urge to cry or to cheer... It is manipulation at it's best. The music, the girl, whatever it may be that draws that out of us, people have figured it out, and now we're the ones that have to deal with the consequence of this social manipulation. I don't know how I should feel about it, I enjoy the movies, but at the same time I know I'm being programmed by everything I see to feel a certain way, whatever way "they" want me to feel. That is something, I personally, I am uncomfortable with. I'm not trying to dissuade you from watching the movies you love, but be aware when you do watch said films as to what "they" are programming you towards. You watch a film like "Flags of our Fathers", it's obviously trying to get us to be more complacent towards war. It is product placement at it's best, the use of psychological manipulation at it's best. The word manipulation is used a lot in this blog, because unfortunately I see it everywhere I look. There are few shows, whether we're talking about movies, television, walking around Wal-Mart, etc. Where I don't feel like I'm being manipulated into something... We're constantly being broken down by advertising, it is like a war of propaganda every time we leave our houses. I have no solution to this problem, I simply wanted to point out what I've noticed...

The World is Going to End...
Not only are we rapidly heading towards a war with Pakistan, with repeated civilian deaths from our missile raids. Raids that aren't approved at all by Pakistan, I might add. Now Russia has ordered 70 new nuclear missiles. Sounds great right? We've already got two wars going on, neither of which have been going well for us, but now we're facing two more potentially bad situations, and an economic crisis. A crisis that is far from over, because economists are saying that we've only been through the first portion of the housing crisis due to adjustable rate mortgages. So buckle your seat belts, shit is going to hit the fan...
Google frightens me
As much as I love Google for it's many features from maps with pictures from the street, to it's text messaging services, to it's (800)Goog-411, to whatever affiliation they have with YouTube, I think they are going to take over the world. I have friends that have found pictures of their cars on Google Maps, to think that Google has enough money to just send cars around the country with panoramic cameras on top of them so people can see pictures of whatever they're looking for is pretty insane. I wonder what the meeting in which they discussed that idea was like. Here is a picture of one of the many cars they had driving around:

Google very well may be run by the anti-Christ. Although I'm Agnostic so I don't really care... Either way, soon we will all be enslaved by Google and forced to spend our days finding various links on the internet...
Popping my blogging cherry
Since I, like many other people, tend to occasionally think and read about the goings-on in our world, and would like to state them openly, I have created a blog. In all likelihood few to no one will read this blog, but at least I will feel better knowing I have spoken my mind in a forum where people might potentially come across my words...
So to start I wanted to say a few things about Obama's choice for Warren to speak at his inauguration. A lot of people are really upset about this decision, and I understand why; however, I don't think we need to break out the torches just yet. I believe Obama is making a wise decision, no matter how much I hate fools like Warren, to have him speak. In this decision, he is potentially going to attract a much larger group of conservatives to listen to his inauguration speech. A speech, given Obama's amazing talent for public speaking, that is likely to be moving on levels I can't even put into words, just like his speech in Berlin or his acceptance speech. I am of course an Obama supporter, but even if I weren't I can't imagine not being enamored by him upon listening. I feel like he is doing what he said he'd do, and he is reaching across party lines, he is perhaps even doing it to the point of getting someone he may disagree with on many issues to speak at what to date will be the pinnacle of his career. I feel that if we truly supported Obama before, we shouldn't be all up in his shit over this decision. It really isn't that big of a deal in my opinion. I am all for gay rights, I wish Prop 8 had passed. I wish we could live in a world of tolerance and open-mindedness, but sadly that isn't the world we live in right now. Obama becoming president is a huge step though in moving forward towards that goal of love over hate and fear. So who gives a shit if this douchebag homophobe is given a chance to speak at such a historic event. I think Obama's speech will be so much more powerful than anything Warren will be able to summon that it will show yet again, why we voted for him in the first place. He is a man of good judgement, charisma, and is level headed. Who knows though, we will see in a few years what the true agenda is...
